OVERVIEW

The Summit at a glance

The Africa Road Safety & Road Asset Management Summit 2026 (ARSS 2026) is Africa’s premier continental platform for advancing road safety, road asset management and sustainable mobility through high-level policy dialogue, technical cooperation, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships.

Convened by the Tanzania Road Safety Initiative (TARSI) in collaboration with national, regional and international partners, the Summit will bring together governments, development partners, financial institutions, road authorities, academia, professional associations, industry leaders and civil society to address emerging challenges and opportunities shaping the future of transport across the continent.

Designed as a catalyst for action rather than simply a forum for discussion, ARSS 2026 will promote innovative solutions, strengthen institutional collaboration, facilitate investment and inspire collective commitment towards building safer roads, protecting infrastructure assets and developing resilient transport systems that support Africa’s sustainable development aspirations.
